Planetary Alaska
In my current work, I find that the concept of time and the passage of it make up the main constructs of my images. Geological time, clearly, cannot be measured in a man’s lifetime, but takes on a vast breath of time and space that seems unfathomable. The time scale of earths movements consists of centuries, millenniums, and eons. Occasionally the extraordinary happens in a short blip, then the geological process becomes sped up. Such are the volatile forces of nature and geology at work. From the carving of a river to the uplift of a mountain, earth science surround us.
